A Brooklyn Day Spa : Very Demure, Very Mindful
As a former Brooklyn resident, it’s always a treat to come home and revisit my favorite haunts (that is—if they still exist), which I absolutely did. However, experiencing a day spa in the center of Brooklyn? That was not on my bingo card.
Enter: World Spa in Midwood.
While the kids were out having a “brat summer,” I was dead set on enjoying a soft city life outside of the jungle. A little Sex and the City with a splash of City Girls. Not Carrie…but Caresha Bradshaw. Wink.
Himalayan salt room | World Spa, Brooklyn, NY
World Spa is an oasis of serenity packed with a global menu of treatments and heat therapies. Think Moroccan and Turkish hammams, cool and hot plunge pools, a Himalayan salt room, and even cryotherapy.
The steam rooms alone are worth the visit. Clad in natural stone with ambient lighting, they offer a gentle, aromatic warmth that promotes detoxification, improved circulation, and a deep sense of calm. It’s a space that invites you to simply be—to breathe, to soften, to reset. A holistic experience that balances luxury with intention.
If You Know, You Know: NYC Spa Culture
If you’ve visited any day spas in the NYC area, you’ve probably noticed the shortage of full-service facilities within the city. There’s King Spa just over in Jersey, which offers a budget-friendly day pass and an array of treatment rooms. But for me? The size and the crowd are... a lot. Maybe weekdays feel less chaotic, but I prefer something more intimate. That many people sharing wet facilities? It gave me the ick.
Then there’s AIRE, one of my go-to luxury escapes. Now that’s a sexy spa. Their ambiance is unmatched—it’s like stepping into a Roman bathhouse meets candlelit fantasy.
World Spa sits right in the sweet spot: it blends the high-quality treatments and ambiance of a state-of-the-art facility with the more curated, boutique vibe I crave.

Let’s Talk Costs & Pro Tips
Here’s the tea on pricing:
Day passes range from $95–$100 and include a four-hour time slot to enjoy the spa’s facilities.
Want to linger? It’s an additional $25/hour if you stay past your time.
If you book a treatment, you’re allowed access one hour before or after your scheduled service.
PRO TIP: If I do it again, I’m booking their evening special. It comes with a curated three-course dinner and a complimentary unlimited spa pass for $115. That’s a steal considering the timed pass alone costs nearly as much.
This option turns a solo pampering session into a full-on experience—perfect for a girls’ night out or a romantic evening with bae. Services are available until 8:30 PM, and the spa stays open until 10:30 PM (Monday–Saturday). Just make sure to book your reservation after 5 PM to take advantage of the deal.
